Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) applications of machine learning to: o Protein folding and protein structure prediction o Gene expression data and DNA micro-arrays o Protein-protein interaction o Finding signals and motifs in DNA sequences o Inference of genetic networks o Analysis of gene structure and regulation o Phylogenetic analysis o QSAR and QSPR Submissions Papers should be submitted in electronic format (preferably in PDF, but PostScript, or MS-Word are also acceptable formats) to kes02@dsi.unifi.it, using the subject-line "KES02 Special Session submission". Papers must be formatted as detailed in IOS Instructions for the Preparation of a Camera-Ready Manuscript (see http://www.bton.ac.uk/kes/kes2002/instruct.doc).
