The job will involve developing and applying state of the art machine learning techniques to practical problems in multispectral image feature identification, and in multichannel time series analysis. Prospective candidates should have a demonstrated ability to perform independent and creative research, and should have good mathematical skills. Familiarity with modern statistical machine learning techniques such as support vector machines, boosting, Gaussian processes or Bayesian methods is essential. Experience with other machine learning paradigms including neural networks and genetic algorithms is also desirable.
