MLnet-list: Postdoctoral fellowship at Politecnico di Milano Applications are invited for postdoctoral researchers (Ph.D.) at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in the framework of IMAGETOX (Intelligent Modeling Algorithms for the General Evaluation of TOXicities). IMAGETOX is a four-year training network project, funded by the European Union's Fifth RTD program, and is aimed at the development of models and predictive systems for natural sciences (chemistry, biology, and toxicology). Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification (or be near to obtain a PhD.)in Computer Science/ Math/Eng. and experience of machine learning techniques. Competence in statistics is appreciated. The appointment, initially for one year, will be about 3000 EURO per month. A second year could be financed. Applicants must satisfy the following conditions, valid for all the EU grants: - The researcher must be 35 years old or less at the time of this appointment (allowances are possible for special cases); - The appointment will be for a fixed-term; - The applicant must be a national of a Member State of the European Community or of an Associated State or have resided in the European Community for at least five years prior to this appointment; - The applicant must choose a Center located in a state different from his/her national state and he/she must not have carried out activities in that state for more than 12 of the 24 months prior to this appointment.
