ILPnet2 revives ILP newsletter

The ILP Newsletter was started by ILPNET, the European Scientific Network on ILP (coordinated by Nada Lavrac) and was edited by Saso Dzeroski and Nada Lavrac. As ILPNET funding expired in 1996, the ILP newsletter was dormant in 1997 and 1998. ILPnet2, the Network of Excellence in ILP that succeeds ILPNET started in September 1998 (scientific coordinator Saso Dzeroski, administrative coordinator Peter Flach). ILPnet2 is now reviving the ILP newsletter, edited by Saso Dzeroski and Ljupco Todorovski. The first issue of the revived newsletter includes a report on the first year of ILPnet2 activities.

In contrast to the former issues, the newsletter is now produced in HTML and is located at the ILP Newsletter home page (http://www-ai.ijs.si/~ilpnet2/newsletter/) When a new issue is produced, ILPnet2 will email the table of contents and the URL of the full version of the newsletter to ILPnet members and those who subscribed via the below address.

Contributions to the ILP Newsletter and requests for subscription / unsubscription should be sent to [email protected] Comments and suggestions on the ILP Newsletter are also welcome.

The first issue of the newsletter contains the following topics (full version at http://www-ai.ijs.si/~ilpnet2/newsletter/1999/issue-01/):
