Call for Papers =============== SOL'2001 - http://www.ifcomputer.co.jp/sol2001 ======== Second International Workshop on Supporting Organisational Learning: Knowledge Management and Case-based Reasoning At INAP2001, 20-22 October 2001, Tokyo, Japan Tremendous technological changes are forcing businesses and institutions to reorganise in order to achieve sustainable advantage. This requires altering mechanisms and processes in organisations, creating new ways of lear ning and managing knowledge. The SOL Workshop Series offers a communication forum and meeting ground for practitioners and researchers engaged in developing and deploying advanced solutions for Organisational Learning, Knowledge Management, Case-based Reasoning and topics relating to the integration of these fields. We seek attendance and contributions from practitioners, researchers, and developers who work at the leading edge of this areas, pursuing integrated approaches which consider both the technological side as well as the proper business side. The purpose of the workshop is to identify and discuss challenging problems facing the future of organisations in the upcoming knowledge economy, and to discuss and shape future directions of research challenges and initiatives. Following the success of SOL2000, we hope that this workshop will enable participants to share their views, to exchange ideas, to develop new insights, and to envision completely new kinds of solutions to Knowledge Management problems. SOL'2001 is a workshop, not a conference, and the objective is to promote the exchange of ideas on innovative research through extensive discussion. Authors should aim to generate discussion on issues concerning knowledge management and learning organisations, rather than describe their research in detail. Full papers will be available in the web in advance in order to allow participants to prepare their comments in advance.
