15th European Simulation Multiconference Prague, Czech Republic June 6-9, 2001 CALL FOR PAPERS MODELLING AND SIMULATION 2001 SECTIONS Methodology and Tools Simulation in Engineering Parallel and Distributed Simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation Military Simulation, Real-Time Simulation Simulators Neural Nets & Data Mining High Performance Computing Analytical and Stochastic Modelling Techniques Transport and Logistics Simulation in Biology and Medicine Tutorials Student Papers, Poster Sessions Partners for Projects Sessions Exhibition The ESM'2001 is the international conference concerned with state of the art technology in modelling and simulation. For several years, ESM has proven to be an outstanding forum for researchers involved in building innovative simulation systems, simulation and modelling tools and applications on both the research and industrial front. The SCS European Simulation Multiconference features an outstanding technical program ranging from introductory tutorials to software reviews to state-of-the-art research and practice. The conference includes exhibits, business meetings for professional societies, software user groups, and a social program. All submissions will be peer reviewed by three members of the International Program Committee. Accepted papers will be published in the conference Proceedings (both print and electronic format), that will be copyrighted and widely disseminated. All talks and tutorials must be accompanied by a paper of between three to eight Proceedings pages. Within the section NEURAL NETS & SIMULATION, DATA-MINING, a special session will be organized on: - the backgrounds and practical use of GMDH (Group Method of Data Handling) and GMDH-type networks: - background and general theory of GMDH-type neural networks, - heuristics-free GMDH methods, - error control strategies in GMDH net learning processes, - application of GMDH methods; - Techniques used in data-mining: statistical approaches, - neural nets & data mining, - genetic algorithms in data mining, - non-standard (other) approaches to data mining. In this section you meet leading scientists in GMDH theory.
