Practical experiences with state-of-the-art AI methodologies are also acceptable when they reflect lessons of unique value to the conference attendees. Shorter works, up to 6 pages, to be presented in 10 minutes, may be submitted as SHORT PAPERS representing work in progress or suggesting possible research directions. (Please, indicate "short paper" in the submission letter in this case.) Submissions should be sent to the Program chair, Laszlo Monostori, by November 17, 2000. All papers should include one or more of the conference topics listed above. Notification of the review process will be made by January 19, 2001, and final copies of papers will be due for inclusion in the conference proceedings by February 15, 2001. Referees will be asked to nominate papers for a Best Paper Prize to be announced at the conference. All papers, but particularly those nominated for the Best Paper competition, will be automatically considered for a publication in the International Journal of Applied Intelligence. In addition to a single hard copy, e-mail the following information to the program chair at ieaaie2001@sztaki.hu by November 17, 2000: a URL address containing a printable version of the submitted paper, and the three keywords related to the confernce topics.
