CALL FOR PAPERS Ninth International Conference on Intelligent Systems: Artificial Intelligence Applications for the New Millennium June 14-17, 2000 The Galt House Hotel Louisville, KY USA Outstanding papers will be selected for review for a special issue of the International Journal of Computers and Their Applications to be published in March 2001. The International Conference on Intelligent Systems seeks submissions of the highest quality on all areas of applied artificial intelligence including but not limited to: Artificial Neural Systems Autonomous Agents Case Based Reasoning Cognitive Science Distributed Intelligent Systems Evolutionary Computation Fuzzy Systems and Soft Computing Human Computer Interaction Inductive Logic Programming Intelligent Simulation Knowledge Based Systems Logic and Inference Machine Learning Systems Medical Infomatics and Bioinformatics Planning, Robotics and Vision Speech and Natural Language Systems Authors must submit a complete paper (no more than 16 double-spaced pages) to the program chair by December 4, 1999. Please include a cover page containing title, author's name(s), address, affiliation, e-mail address, telephone number and topic area. In cases of multiple authors, all correspondence will be sent to the first author unless otherwise requested. E-mail submission is preferred with subject header "IS-2000 Submission." If submitting a hardcopy, please send five copies. All papers will be reviewed by at least two expert referees. Outstanding technical and social programs are being planned for this conference. Louisville is a beautiful city to visit in June. The spring thoroughbred meet will be in progress at Churchill Downs, the site of the Kentucky Derby. Louisville is the home of the well-known Speed Art Museum, the Louisville Slugger Baseball Museum, Farmington and Locust Grove Historical Homes, the Falls of the Ohio, the Belle of Louisville Steamboat, the Kentucky Center for the Arts and the Louisville Science Center.
