Case-Based Reasoning Track ========================== Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) can be used both as a technology and a methodology to develop Artificial Intelligence systems. The Special Track on CBR will be the first with this focus in FLAIRS conferences. URL: http://www.aic.nrl.navy.mil:80/~weber/flairs.html Objectives ========== The special track on CBR is intended to gather AI researchers from the CBR community and who have also participated in past FLAIRS conferences, as well as welcoming new ones by providing a specific forum for CBR. Topics ====== Although not restricting to a specific topic, we strongly encourage submissions addressing evaluation of CBR systems, particularly evaluation of methods for case base maintenance, textual CBR, and case-based retrieval. Submissions are solicited including but not limited to: Evaluation of methods for case base maintenance General evaluation methods for CBR systems and integrations Evaluation for textual case-based reasoning CBR fundamental research Practical applications of CBR Textual CBR CBR and creativity Hybrid systems and surveys Methods for CBR (e.g., adaptation, indexing, retrieval, representation) Case base maintenance and design CBR related areas (e.g. information retrieval, knowledge discovery) Submission Guidelines ===================== Interested authors must submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript of no more than 5 pages (3400 words) by October 20, 2000. All submissions must be original work. Authors should format their paper according to AAAI guidelines. The paper should not identify the author(s) in any manner. Please submit one cover page containing the title of your paper, author name(s) and contact information (fax, email, postal mail, and phone), an abstract (max 100 words), and a list of keywords (in decreasing order of relevance). If electronic submission poses problems, please contact the organizing members to arrange for hardcopy submission. Please submit one separate page in HTML containing the title of your paper, author name(s) and contact information (fax, e-mail, postal mail, and phone), an abstract (max. 100 words), and a list of keywords (in decreasing relevance). Please consult the conference web page for details on paper submission. Papers will be refereed and those accepted for presentation will appear in the conference proceedings. Authors may be invited to submit a revised copy of their paper to a special issue of an international AI journal.
