Dear MLNET member - this is a final call for members of MLNET to participate in the MLNET Exhibition in Barcelona. The goals of the exhibition are: * show to the other members of MLNET what your are doing and hear what others are doing; also projects that do have not yet produced publications or products can be publicised here! * provide an opprtunity to meet a EC representative (to be confirmed) and learn about their current and planned programmes * see and discuss the results of MLNET activities (education materials, application guide, technological roadmap) * for MLNET: to encourage more complete information about nodes on the web, alllowing better access to our knowledge and technology for people outside our field. The event is located conveniently between ECML and a workshop on Agents. which indirectly supports travel to these events. MLNET supports participants to the Exhibition with a maximum of 350 EUR. A contribution to the Exhibition consists of a website and a poster summarising basic information about your node: * projects * people * scientific/technological expertise (area, methods, systems) * application expertise (application area) Many nodes already have this and this means that only a poster for the meeting in Barcelona should be made. For others this should be an extra stimulus to make or update such a website. A submission consists of sending me the URL of the website. MLNET will check if it contains the information. The deadline for submissions is extended to Friday 14 April. - maarten van someren (MLNET coordinator) **************************************************************** **************************************************************** Call for exhibitors MLNET, the network of excellence in Machine Learning, Case-Based Reasoning and Knowledge Acquisition organises a network-wide exhibition where nodes of MLNET can show their recent achievements and current projects.
