Call for Participation ====================== - Apologies if you receive this more than once. - ======================================================== | 4th German Workshop on Case-Based Reasoning (CBR-96) | | - System Development and Evaluation - | | Berlin, March 20 - 22 1996 | ======================================================== The 4th CBR workshop organized by the German special interest group on case-based reasoning in the German society for computer science (GI) will be held in March this year. It aims at offering a forum for the presentation and discussion of new results and interesting work in progress in the field of case-based reasoning. A number of interesting papers were submitted not only from Germany but also from abroad, e.g. from Poland, the United Kingdom, France (most of the papers are in English). So CBR-96 will bring together a small but active group of researchers working in the field. DATE and PLACE -------------- The workshop starts on March 20 at 7 p.m. ("get together"), the invited talk on March, 21st starts at 9 am, the workshop ends on March, 22nd at about 1 p.m. It will take place in the Adam-von-Trott-Haus Tagungshaus der Evangelischen Akademie Am kleinen Wannsee 19-20 Berlin Telefon (+49)(+30) 805 34 31 with talks, meals and accommodation at the same location. The workshop location is just a few bus stops from Berlin-Wannsee which is an ICE railway station. Detailed information on how to get there will be delivered with the confirmation of participation. PARTICIPATION ------------- The number of participants is restricted to 40 people, the number of beds to 30. For both, preference is given to participants with accepted contributions, after that to early registration. Please return the registration form attached at the end of this document as soon as possible but not later than January 31 to Renate Zirkelbach (address below, preferably by e-mail or Fax). The fee may be paid * either by bank transfer (net of bank charges) to the bank account given in the registration form at the end of this document; * or by Eurocheque payable (net of charges) in DM to Humboldt University (send it to Renate Zirkelbach, address below). Unfortunately, credit cards and other forms of payment are not accepted. Please, make sure that we receive your payment on or before February 12 (IN CASE OF WITHDRAWAL FROM REGISTRATION LATER THAN THAT DATE WE HAVE TO CHARGE DM 50,- AS A CANCELLATION FEE). PRICES ------ A) With accommodation: DM 200,- (covers workshop fee, accommodation, and meals from Wednesday dinner to Friday lunch) b) Without accommodation DM 100,- (covers workshop fee and meals as above excluding breakfast) Due to the dense program and to get into contact with other people we strongly recommend that participants not living in Berlin use the accommodation provided. For participants from Eastern Europe and students without further support a limited number of grants (covering e.g. the accommodation) may be available on request depending on the structure of the participants. Details and refunds will be given at the workshop.
