Other topics of interest will be: Abduction, Constraint Based Reasoning, Knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Based Systems, Learning, Natural Language Processing, Temporal and Causal Reasoning. This is not an exhaustive list, and papers from other areas are also encouraged. IMPORTANT DATES: Submission deadline: 3 April, 1998 Notification of acceptance: 29 may, 1998 Deadline for final papers: 12 June, 1998 Conference: September 21-23, 1998 Submissions should describe original research. Papers should be written in English and be printed on A4 paper (double-sided printing is encouraged), using high quality printers. They should be single-spaced, 12 point type with no more than 50 lines per page and up to 5000 words (10 pages maximum including the title page). The first page should contain the title of the paper, names and addresses of all authors (including e-mail, if available), an abstract (100-150 words) and a list of keywords. Electronic and fax submissions will not be considered. Pante` di Povo 38050 Trento, Italy The Proceedings of AIMSA-98 will be available at the conference. SELECTION OF PAPERS: Each paper will be reviewed by at least two members of the program committee. Selection criteria include accuracy and originality of ideas, clarity and significance of results, quality of presentation. At least one of the authors of an accepted paper is expected to present the paper at the conference. The program committee will select one paper of high quality among the accepted papers. The author(s) will receive the best paper award during the conference. The accepted papers will appear in a the Lecture Note on Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series by Springer-Verlag. LANGUAGE: The official language of the conference is English. CONFERENCE LOCATION AIMSA'98 will be held at Sozopol, a small ancient and picturesque town on the Black sea cost, famous for its unique architecture and art exhibitions. It is a favorite place for rest and entertainment for many Bulgarians and foreigners. Sozopol is located 30 km south to Bourgas. Bourgas has an international and domestic airport with flights to and from Sofia (the capital city of Bulgaria). There are also direct flights connecting the major European cities with Sofia and Bourgas. AIMSA'98 will take place in a luxury holiday home near the beach at a walking distance from downtown Sozopol.
