Description
Idilia (http://www.idilia.com) develops technology that identifies the precise semantic information contained in general domain naturally-expressed language. The technology is based on a marriage of computational linguistics and statistical machine learning approaches. The company's first product transforms general-domain text and queries from simple character sequences into a set of precise word meanings linked with semantic relations. The product incorporates breakthrough Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) technology that assigns specific meanings to words (e.g., "java" coffee vs the programming language) at very high accuracy. The company, which is based in Montreal, Canada, has approximately 20 full time staff and has been conducting R&D in natural language processing for over 6 years. Idilia would like to invite qualified applicants to apply for a machine learning position in computational linguistics. The chosen applicant will work in cooperation with senior researchers and developers to design and implement machine learning models for word sense disambiguation. The ideal candidate will be a particularly detail oriented and motivated individual, a quick learner, a self-starter who is enthusiastic to take a leadership role and who delivers on his/her commitments. The candidate must have a proven track record of excellence and be recognized as one of the key contributors of his/her team.
