| Scientific Applications Programmers at ArQule Inc.
We seek versatile, creative problem-solvers to address computational aspects of diverse scientific applications. In working with our computational chemists, medicinal chemists, and biologists, you will develop software to assist in the application of our combinatorial chemistry platform toward pre-clinical optimization strategies. Areas of work may include chemical diversity, library design, datamining, data visualization, lead optimization , and structure-based design. Expertise in optimization methods, neural networks, or pattern recognition will be highly applicable. Advanced training in mathematics or statistics is also beneficial.
Applicants should possess an advanced degree in Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related field. Successful candidates will possess both strong computing and scientific skills. Demonstrated programming experience with Fortran, C, or C++ in a Unix environment is required. Proficiency with Unix and scripting ability with perl, awk, or sh are highly desired. Web development skills, including knowledge of CGI or Java, will also be beneficial. Familiarity with development environments such as Tripos' SPL, CCGI's SVL, Daylight toolkits, or MDL's PL/Object Library is a plus. Prior exposure to software development for combinatorial chemistry or drug discovery is desired.
Candidates must be adaptable within a dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment. We offer flexibility in goals and implementation, and encourage creative solutions. Excellent growth opportunity exists within the Computational Design & Informatics group at ArQule. If you would enjoy an active involvement in the growth of this department, and in the impact of computational design at a premier combinatorial chemistry organization, please submit a resume with cover letter referencing job code CDI-SAP
