| Position Description - Machine Learning R&D
Philips Research Laboratories in Briarcliff Manor NY is seeking qualified candidates to participate in research and development leading to next generation software products in the areas of personalization and adaptive electronics. Activities include:
- learning of user profiles for content preferences
- filtering content metadata according to these profiles
- developing innovative methods for automatically classifying content.
Current applications include electronic program guides, audio retrieval and emerging e-Commerce applications. The work involves close collaboration with research peers and liaison with internal customers in global Philips Electronics.
Background Desired
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, EE or related field, with broad knowledge of the field of machine learning, and a commendable record of publication in peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
- Extensive software development experience.
- Relevant work experience.
