MAX-PLANCK-INSTITUTE FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Max Planck Institute for Computer Science is devoted to basic
research in Computer Science. The institute is located on the campus
of the University of Saarbruecken, and currently consists of
three research groups "Algorithms and Complexity", "Programming Logics"
and "Computer Graphics".
In the "Programming Logics" research group (headed by Prof. H. Ganzinger)
there is an opening for a post-doctoral fellowship in the area of
probabilistic reasoning. We are looking for applicants whose research
interests include one or more of the following topics:
-probabilistic logics
-graphical models
-machine learning
-statistics in AI
-probabilistic verification.
Post-doctoral fellows at the Max-Planck-Institute will usually conduct
independent research in their own field of interest, while at the same
time they are strongly encouraged to interact and collaborate with other
members of the research group. The working language at the institute is
English.
Fellowships are granted for either 1 or 2 years. The salary is approximately
3600 DM (1840 Euro) per month (taxfree). For further informations on the
