| VACANCY: PhD research position (OIO)
The department of Social Science Informatics from the University of
Amsterdam is looking for a PhD student on Knowledge-Based Indexing and
Retrieval of Multimedia Information (KIRMIT - project number 612-61-004).
The KIRMIT project is a research project funded by the Netherlands
Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) (http://www.nwo.nl/) and
will last for four years. The project is a collaboration between
the Free University of Amsterdam (VU) and the University of Amsterdam.
The research at the Free University has just started, the PhD position
at the UvA is still vacant. For further details on the project see the

Minimum Requirements are: Candidates should have a master degree in
computer science, or artificial intelligence, or in an area that is
strongly related. Knowledge and experience in the area of 'knowledge
and information modelling' is appreciated.
