| Research Associate / Fellow Post Opening at the University of the West of England, Bristol :job reference R10227
A dynamic computer scientist with active interests in machine learning and data mining, is required to join the University and will be based in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering & Mathematical Sciences working on an EU-funded project developing rapidly reconfigurable machine vision systems. This is a full time, fixed term post for three years. UWE’s role within the project will be to undertake research into the machine learning aspects of trainable machine vision systems, in particular the nature of the interactions with the human operators.
You should have a higher degree in an appropriate subject with subsequent research experience in machine learning and be able to clearly demonstrate your aptitude for research leadership. You will have a record of research including quality publications and experience in contributing to the preparation of research grant bids. Salary will be in the range 18,777 -23,643 GBP on the Research Associate Grade or on the Research Fellow grade at 23,643 GBP depending on the candidate.
