| Carrying out database, data warehousing and data mining project work in the areas of anti-fraud and security. Other sources of data may be of interest, but trade, payment and transport transactions are of particular importance. The candidate is expected to combine strong research interests in data mining with data modeling experience preferably in the context of industrial applications. Degree in computer science, engineering, statistics or maths is required. Knowledge of English and preferably also 2 other languages is required. Knowledge or experience with ORACLE, or data warehousing environments will be particularly appreciated. Experience with developing web applications is a plus. Very good writing skills are necessary.
Post is open for nationals of EU-25. The contract is for 4 years, renewable for another 2 afterwards. JRC applies an equal opportunity policy.
