Océ provides consultancy, software, printers and services for professional document applications. The strength of Océ is due to a combination of state-of-the-art ICT solutions and productive, user-friendly machines. High-quality software applications enable users to manage and control their document processes in a better way. With 22,000 employees and an annual turnover of 3.2 billion Euro we have become a true world player. Our activities take place in 80 countries all over the world. We have offices in 32 countries and a head office located in Venlo, The Netherlands. Considering copying and printing in view of workflow management and IT concepts, we are still extending our lead. The majority of our products find their origin in our R&D department that employs 1,700 researchers, developers and engineers. To enforce our research groups (100 employees) we are currently recruiting a number of

DOCUMENT ANALYSIS AND RECOGNITION RESEARCHERS

We are looking for:

1. a physicist/electrical engineer with a PhD in pattern recognition/ image
processing,
2. a computer scientist (MSc) with knowledge of artificial intelligence and an
interest in natural language processing,
3. a computer scientist (MSc) with experience in computer graphics and an interest in data visualization,
4. an applied mathematician (MSc) with profound knowledge of signal theory
and/or probability theory and statistics.

Successful applicants will have a broad range of interests and will combine a sound theoretical background with the ability to apply their knowledge in a practical context. Programming experience in C/C++ is a must; knowledge of Matlab is desirable.
