Management Group, invites applications for two PhD opportunities;
contract duration is two years (may be extended to four or five
years); German salary level IIa BAT-O (approx. 2000-2500 Euros per
month, depending on age, marital status, and other factors).
Job Description: Contribute to our research in machine learning,
knowledge discovery in databases, statistical natural language
processing, knowledge management. Contribute to the project "Text
Mining: Knowledge Discovery in Text Archives and Efficient Document
Processing", funded by the German Science Foundation DFG. Employees
may teach one class per weak on average.
Requirements: Candidates are expected to hold a degree in computer
science (German Diploma, Master's degree, or equivalent). Experience
in statistical machine learning, knowldege discovery and data mining
or, alternatively, text mining, statistical natural language
processing, information retrieval would be beneficial.
