Royal Holloway, University of London invites applications for a Research Assistant in Computer Science. The post is funded for two years duration, with a scheduled start date of August 2003.
The vacancy is for an EPSRC project entitled 'Development and Application of String-type kernels'. It concentrates on designing and testing kernels for both text and images; focussing particularly on kernels for discrete structures and fisher kernels, and the relationship between them. A background working in kernel-based methods is very desirable for this position.
Salary is in the range £20,399 - £24,325 inclusive of London Allowance.
