Beyond Genomics Inc., a Waltham, MA based biotechnology company pioneering the field of Systems Biology, is conducting a search for candidates for its Biostatistics and Biocomputing Group. As a member of this Group, you will have an operational role in support of the Company’s research collaboration and discovery programs, as well as a key role in the continued development of the Company’s advanced data analysis and informatics platforms. The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics and computer science, with a preferred emphasis on machine learning and pattern recognition methods. Desired Skills and Experience:
• Proven background in statistics
• Experience in areas of machine learning and pattern recognition
• Strong background in mathematics desirable
• Ph.D. or M.S. or equivalent combination of education and experience in appropriate field is required.
• Familiarity with Matlab, SAS, R and other programming environments
• Experience working with biological data desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment
