Following an international competition, Science Foundation Ireland, has awarded an initial seed grant of almost $6M to the Hamilton Institute. Our objective is to create a centre of excellence for research in systems science. Applications are invited from well qualified candidates for a number of positions at the Institute.
SENIOR RESEARCH POSITIONS
The successful candidates will be outstanding researchers who can demonstrate an exceptional research track record or significant research potential at international level in one or more of the following areas: modern statistical and machine learning methods for data intensive mathematical modelling and reasoning; stability & control theory for hybrid & nonlinear systems; safety-critical communication & networking; and related areas.
Ph.D. & POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS
The successful candidates are likely to have demonstrated an outstanding level of academic achievement at undergraduate/post-graduate level.

These posts offer a unique opportunity for tackling fundamental problems in a leading edge research group with state of the art facilities. All appointments are initially for 3 years, extendable to 5, with the potential for permanency.
Salary scale: $30000 - $81000 approx.
