| The Cork Constraint Computation Centre (http://www.4c.ucc.ie) has recently been established at University College Cork in Ireland, with initial funding of approximately 6.35 million Euros from Science Foundation Ireland, in the form of a Principal Investigator Award to Gene Freuder, a AAAI Fellow, who has moved from the U.S. to Ireland to establish the centre. As part of his research program, Prof. Freuder is interested in applying machine learning, knowledge acquisition, and case-based reasoning techniques to the problem of acquiring models and methods for constraint satisfaction and optimization. Anyone interested in a post-doc position at the centre to work in this area is encouraged to contact Prof. Freuder at [email protected].
