Global Director of new Scientific Informatics Team Use your knowledge of computer sciences to break new ground in life sciences In today’s environment the need to effectively and efficiently bring new safe medicines to patients has never been greater. Standard approaches will only take us so far, especially when you consider the complexity of a multi-disciplinary scientific process that takes at least 8 years to come to fruition. In this senior role you will be able to shape and develop a new global team that will have the ability to exploit the rapid growth of data and information that is generated throughout the drug discovery and development processes. Through the application of advanced computer science and AI techniques such as: inferencing, reasoning, knowledge discovery, data mining and conceptual modelling this group will be able to tackle solving complex business challenges using novel computational tactics. To be successful in this role you do not need to have previously worked within the pharmaceutical industry; you will have an advanced degree in Computer Sciences and have at least 5 years experience of using advanced computational techniques to identify and solve complex problems. Previous experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams will compliment your ability to be both a visionary and advocate for your new group and your computational methods. Technical credibility and a proven track record of innovative delivery are also required.
