The research group GREC (Qualitative Reasoning and Learning Systems Research Group) is integrated by members of different departments of the Polytechnical University of Catalonia (UPC), as well as from other institutions (ESADE-URL and IIIA-CSIC). GREC has basically two working lines: Qualitative Formalism and Connectionist and Learning Systems. Both collectives have also as an aim the application of theoretical results into real systems in the fields of Robotics, Industrial Process Control, and Environment. GREC is one of the research groups in the Associated European Laboratory on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Control LEA-SICA.
